Our vision and purpose as a ministry is to provide emotional and spiritual care to our church members and their families, because in our congregation, no one is alone.

If you are in need, we desire to help you, share your joys and hurts, and lighten your burdens. We know that life can be hard at certain times for anyone, even Christians. We face numerous issues, including loneliness, stress, abuse, financial trouble, marital infidelity, and family or work conflicts.

Through providing you with a listening ear, we ultimately operate as an extension of Jesus Christ.

We want to provide you with care through anything from listening, supporting, encouraging, praying to simply being dependable and trustworthy and maintaining confidentiality in our caregiving.

A wedding is easily one of the most important days of any person’s entire life - and marriage can simultaneously just as rewarding as it is challenging.

No matter what state your marriage is in, how old you are or what it is you need for your marriage, The SOS Marriage Ministry is here. From premarital counseling to support for marriages in trouble, and everything in between, we have something for you.

PREMARITAL COUNCELING

At SOS Church Stockholm, our pastors offer a free pre-marital course. This is an 8-session course that is (offered in either Swedish or English) meant for any couple that desires to be wed by an SOS Church minister, whether at SOS Church or an off-site location. This is a chance for you to learn more about marriage, each other, and the expectations entailed in a life-long, committed relationship, and prepare for their next step together.

The course is based on the book Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts, by authors and relationship experts Les and Leslie Parrott. We highly recommend purchasing the book and following along throughout the sessions. The course entails the following:

3. Communication

4. Conflicts

5. Money management

6. Sex

7. Lasting love

8. Becoming “soul mates”

Hospital Care

At SOS Church Stockholm, we are love and lift up one another. Our team of dedicated volunteers is available to visit you when life takes an unexpected turn, bringing you prayers of faith, the healing touch of Jesus Christ and an abundance of encouragement - whether you are hospitalised or laying sick in your own home.

FUNERALS

The SOS Church Stockholm homegoing services (or funerals) entail pastors and leaders who officiate and assist at funerals. We are also here to comfort families who have lost a loved one.
